Privacy Policy

Who we are

buildmywebsite.store is an ecommerce design and development studio that designs, builds, and launches online stores for a fixed price. This policy explains what information we collect through this site (buildmywebsite.store) and how we use it. Questions about this policy can be sent to hello@buildmywebsite.store.

Information we collect

The only personal information we collect directly from you is what you submit through the contact form: your name, email address, store or business name (optional), and a message describing your project. We don't require an account, and we don't collect payment information through this site. We also use Google Analytics to collect general usage data about how visitors use the site, such as pages viewed, time on site, device and browser type, and approximate location. This data is not used to identify you by name or email.

How we use it

We use the information you submit through the contact form solely to respond to your inquiry, prepare a quote if your project needs more than our standard $3,999 store build, and, if you become a client, to communicate with you about the work. We use Google Analytics data only to understand how the site is used and to improve it. We don't use your information for advertising, and we don't add you to a marketing list without your separate consent.

How we share it

We don't sell your information, and we don't share it with third parties except where necessary to run this site or deliver a service you've requested. This includes Google (which provides Google Analytics and serves the typefaces used on this site) and the hosting and email providers we use to run the site and receive your messages, or where required by law.

Cookies and tracking

This site does not use advertising cookies. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to collect the usage data described above. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or opt out of Google Analytics across all websites using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. You can learn how Google handles this data in Google's explanation of how it uses data. If our use of cookies or analytics changes in the future, this policy will be updated to reflect it.

Data retention

We keep contact form submissions for as long as needed to respond to your inquiry and, for active or past clients, for the duration of our business relationship and any period required for our own records. Google Analytics data is kept according to the retention period we set in our Google Analytics account.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the information we hold about you at any time by emailing hello@buildmywebsite.store. We'll respond within a reasonable timeframe.

Children's privacy

This site is intended for business owners and is not directed at children. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
